Advanced Performance Repository (RPA)

What is an Advanced performance repository?

It is a service provided by CSUC that aims to provide the user entity with an exclusive instance of DSpace software, adapted to regulations, standards, and international best practices (such as OpenAIRE). 

The service is distributed in Software as a Service (SaaS) mode, offering an integrated solution that includes both the necessary hardware and software. 

What are the benefits of the Advanced performance repository?

• It provides a configurable and customizable environment to meet the institution's needs.
• The entity will have an institutional repository for exclusive use adapted to regulations, standards, and international best practices.
• It offers two separate instances of DSpace (pre-production and production).
• It allows modifications such as embedding altmetrics, if necessary, and compliance with OpenAIRE guidelines to ensure open access.
• It provides technical assistance and maintenance for both software and hardware.
• It has scalable infrastructure within a high availability cluster of 0.5 TB of storage (expandable).

It includes additional customization features: viewer package (video, PDF, etc.), and streaming server; custom design (theme), among others.

The initial setup of the service is handled by CSUC and includes repository customization, workflow establishment, metadata templates, etc. We work to deliver to the institution a repository that best fits its needs and particularities.

Once the exclusive instance is available, the institution can manage and further configure its DSpace by creating users, groups, or roles; exporting or importing digital objects; managing communities, sub-communities, and collections, etc.
