Anella Científica

Delegation of Reverse DNS Zones

Ending your network connection to the Anella Científica requires enabling the address range on a primary DNS server.

Delegation request

First, the institution must configure its DNS servers and include the CSUC servers as secondary servers.

Once this has been done, you should fulfill in the following form on Delegation of Reverse DNS Zones, which you have below.

CSUC will delegate the reverse resolution of the rank to the institution's servers and will act as secondary.

Every time you want to add a new authorized server or delete some of those that already exist, it is necessary to fill in the same form again to provide the new data.

Connection Details

The in-addr domains are represented using the reverse network number, that is, the in-addr domain of the network 123.45.67.0 would be represented as 67.45.123.in-addr.arpa. If you have to make the delegation request for networks larger than /24, the request must be made for each class C within the same form. For example, for the 123.45.128.0/23 network, the request 128.45.123.IN-ADDR.ARPA and 129.45.123.IN-ADDR.ARPA should be made. In case you make the delegation request for networks smaller than /24, the IN-ADDR domain would be the network number with its corresponding mask upside down. For example, the IN-ADDR domain of the 123.45.67.128/26 network is 128/26.67.45.123.IN-ADDR.ARPA
